I love being able to follow my clients from their engagement, to their wedding, to their first (or even 5th) maternity session, and very soon for The Pritchard's their baby girls newborn session.

I feel so blessed that people trust my vision behind my lens enough to capture these moments that matter the most to them.

So, I had this whole fantastic mini session planned out for two little girls I adore. Well, Ms. Avery had very different plans of her own when I got there. Pillow fight, no thank you, she wanted to lounge! Tiny hearts fight, no thank you, she wanted to play with her dolls! Sometimes as photographers we have in our mind things exactly planned out, but what we end up with is oh so much better! It's why I love the natural pictures with real emotion and just plain old real life moments! It doesn't get much better then this!

If you don't know this pose......you don't know anything about Peter Parker! Syd is a comic girl and I love it about her! She has the best little personality!

I had a blast, though I did sleep like a baby that night. Man do they have energy that doesn't stop! But, mom and dad had no trouble keeping up. And I was surprised that I could too! These two little bits are cousins and oh so cute. I have no doubt they are going to be best buds. Though there might be a few spats when they get older (it's what families do) I think it is safe to say they will watch over each other! Their mom's came to me telling me they just can't get them both to look at the camera the same time. Two very independent little girls! I think we had some luck ladies.....enjoy! ;) It's all about fun with me. Play Dates are what I like to call my sessions and I think we had some fun capturing these two pint size dolls!

Miranda - Rockin' the Class of 2012

I've known this GORGEOUS girl for about 10 years now. It's hard to believe she is a senior. She was always an adorable little girl. I knew she was going to grow up and be simply pretty! But, I didn't realize how fan-freaking-fabulously-BEAUTIFUL she was going to grow up to be. I had the best time capturing her for her Senior Cap.

Thank you for letting me try out some fun new things and for being you! Enjoy the rest of your senior year and take in all the moments. It goes by quickly. And even though some of the best times are a head of you. These past 12 years are the days that created you! Cherish them!

Ms. O is 6 months

I captured this little beauty when she was just a few weeks old. I have known her daddy since we were young growing up in the "big" ole town of Bradford. I had a wonderful time capturing Ms. O. She has quite the personality already. I can't wait until she is 1! Oh the fun we shall have.

I have two favorite quotes from our session.

1. "She doesn't like to be on her belly. It's probably because she is always being held", says Grandma!
Cracks me up! I think this little one will walk before she crawls! Belly time is definitely not her favorite time! Love it!

Starting out the day, Brandy and her girls grabbed some lunch and popped open a bottle of champagne. I could tell it was going to be a very relaxed and fun filled day. Just as their engagement session was this past summer.

Brandy's wedding held a soft spot in my heart. You see, I was married this August in the very same church.

It was exciting for me to capture their wedding day behind my lens!

Brandy was relaxed and ready to just get down the aisle to her future.

Michael and his boys rolled up in style and were ornery and ready for some fun. It's always nice to see a groom just as relaxed as his bride to be!

Most wedding days start out with the bride getting ready and chatting up and giggling with her girlfriends. Christina's wedding day did NOT start out like that. The poor girl out did herself at the rehearsal the night before with the yummy food, and was super sick that morning. I mean literally throwing it all back up. Her day started out at:

But, with a prescription called in from the Dr. all was well about 15 minutes after she swallowed the pill. Thank you modern medicine!

After that little hiccup, the rest of the day was beautiful and I like to think it was perfect for them!

Ryan and Christina had a wedding that was unique to them and oh so fabulous! As they vowed to be each others hunting partners for life I couldn't help but smile. Ryan's mom made the best statement of the night I have to say. She said, "Ryan has found his camo girl". Boy did he ever. From every little detail of this wedding/reception you could see every part of this couple shine through. I'm a sucker for details people! They were both relaxed and very at ease all day long.

Ms. Olivia started out her session absolutely set on not sleeping. She wanted to be awake for her photo session and not much was going to change her mind. We did get her to fall asleep for a few shots, but once she decided it was fun to make pee pee when being naked she was up again! And with a little more swaddling and coaxing we got to get just a couple more of her asleep! She is quite the little doll baby! And mom and dad look pretty great too as new parents! So most of you know the story of how Jeremy and I began our relationship. I've actually blogged about it before see the post here > Started with a Kiss

On February 19, 2011 Jeremy made a hope and dream of mine become a reality. He asked me to become his wife.

We have spent 10 years building a relationship that is finally going to begin with a ring! And to be a little honest I am still in a bit of a shock. And extremely happy and more overcome with joy and happiness then I could ever have imagined!

Our relationship has been a whirl wind of ups and downs. I have enjoyed looking back at the 22 year old girl that I was and the 23 year old boy he was and laughing about the stupid and silly things we fought over, or put each other through.

I look back at those Thursday break ups and the Sunday makeups and smile. We were so young and so very immature. I honestly didn't believe we would ever be anything serious when we first started out. I just always had a great time with him and enjoy the times we spent together.

But, the years went by and we kept standing beside one another. He became my best friend. The person I didn't just have in my life, but the person I needed and very much wanted in my life.

We've been there by each other through life changes, struggles with friends and family. Job changes, and just growing as a person. Which helped us both grow up and helped us to grow our relationship.

I used to think I knew what love was and that I understood what it meant to be in a relationship. But, it's taken me ten beautiful years to know that there is more to a life long relationship then I ever could have dreamed of.

Jeremy picks me up when I am down. Pushes me to be a better version of myself, and never lets me just settle. But he knows when it's best to stop pushing me. Jeremy makes me feel beautiful inside and out. He's taught me how to forgive myself and how to forgive others. He's made me feel worthy of the kind of happiness that this life has brought to me.

I used to believe that I was destined to always fall short of what God intended in my life. But the Lord knew that I needed Jeremy to show me I was meant for something more and that I could find my faith and trust in God again.

He's given me more then I could ever imagine to give back to him. But, lucky for me I will have a lifetime of trying to!

So, here is the story of how he (FINALLY) proposed. And yes, it was a complete SURPRISE!

We went to the Waterfront in Cincinnati. We have gone every year since our first anniversary. So, I didn't think a thing about it. It was tradition! And honestly, I thought it might be another year before he were to ask.

We were sitting down and they took our order and brought our drinks. Jeremy said he would be right back, he was going up to get his Whiskey that he likes to go to the bar to get when we are there. He came back and said to me, "So you didn't think I would let Valentine's Day go by without giving you your Hershey's Kiss did you"? (Every year Jeremy gives me a big Hershey's Kiss)

I looked at him and took the red bag and saw this:

A Starbucks card on top of my Heshey's Kiss. I said, "your a dork and thank you".

He just kind of stared at me for a few seconds and I realized maybe I should move the gift card. I still had no idea what I was about to see!!!!!

I don't think it quite registered for a minute what I was seeing! I just looked at him and asked, "Is this a joke"? I know, nice right?! But, after 10 years of hoping one day he would ask me to be by his side and have a lifetime with him was a bit of a surprise still!

He fumbled with the ring for a second, dropping it in the box. But, the best part is he was a gentleman and got on one knee and asked me to marry him! A girl dreams of this moment in her life, but doesn't really know how it will play out. I couldn't have dreamed that my perfect moment would truly and honestly be just that. A perfect moment!

He placed the ring on my finger and came around to sit beside me. After collecting himself he asked, "so did you say yes". Oh my gosh, I hadn't! I said "yes", and we started calling family and friends to share the news!

A few of my close friends weren't answering their phones, and let me tell you, if I call you it is important. I am a texter, I don't like to talk on the phone!

Jeremy said we could go home, get changed and go see his parents. I was so excited to share the news and show off the GORGEOUS ring. So excited, I even told the gas station attendant that we just got engaged. I don't think the guy cared a lick, but he needed to know!

We got to the house and he said to come down to the basement to help him get a few bottles of champagne. I walked downstairs and to my surprise there were a few of my closest friends! He had a little party for me! Well, for us!

There are lucky girls in this world, but I believe I am quite simply the luckiest!!!!

There were a few moments I had to sneak outside or away to have a few moments. With all the happiness coming to me that I could hold in my heart there was a sense of sadness. The one person in my life I would want to share this with is no longer here. My dad is missed more and more as things happen and change in my life. And this day was one of the most important and happiest!

But, I am able to smile because I know my dad would have loved Jeremy. He would be so happy and proud that the man I will marry is quite a lot like him.

Giving and never asking for anything in return! Tentative and caring. Loving and sharing.

I used to believe there would never be another man in my life like my dad. But, God gave me someone to share my life with who shares the same values and qualities that my dad had.

They would have had a wonderful time knowing each other!

And I am a very blessed girl to have had the last name Preston! And very blessed to become Mrs. Collier!

So, one of my very good friends had a little guy on December 1. I wasn't able to get to Kentucky until mid January. But, I had to just get my hands on him. More so my lens had to capture him!!! He is so adorable and I am missing him so much already.

Here are just a few little snaps of baby Wyatt Johnson. He's such a doll baby! And I look forward to getting to see him again and capturing more pictures of him! Love you guys and congratulations on your sweet baby boy!

18 months and non stop....

I met this little cutie right before she had her first birthday! Every day on my way home I would pass by seeing her being spunky and playing outside with mom and dad. She was non stop then and just cute as a button. I don't normally stop and give people my business card, but I just had to get this little one in front of my lens.

So, I was lucky enough to get to capture moments of her and mom and dad for her 1st birthday. And when mom asked if I could capture her at 18 months I was thrilled. I had so much fun the first time I knew there would be no change this time.

She definitely did not disappoint me or my eyes behind the lens. And I just love capturing children in their homes. They don't shy away and you get to see their true beauty and personalities come to life in the lens because of their comfort.

And as a bonus for the parents, they get to have special moments of fun and interaction between them and their child caught on camera. No one is left out. Everyone gets to be in the picture! :)

One of my favorite "play dates" is capturing a child that is turning 1 and doing a Cake Bashing!

I just love the way their little eyes light up from the joy of the taste of sweets! One reason is because my face still lights up when I taste sweets! But, also because they just love to get messy! You will have those little ones who do not like to be messy and they are still a lot of fun. But, I just love the little ones that dig on it and go for it!

So Layla is 2 and Elyssa is 1! That's all I need to say to another photographer and they know the "work" that goes into trying to get a family shot. One goes one way, the other goes another. One smiles as what you are doing to make them laugh, while the other looks at you like you have lost your mind! Let me be honest, mostly it was Elyssa who looked at me like I had lost my marbles! It's a challenge to say the least, but it's so much fun! If that's the hardest part of my day, I will take it every day!

So I always say that I have the best "job" there is. I love being able to capture moments in time and freeze them forever for client, family and friends.

And I was lucky enough to be able to capture a few moments of J & J and their bundle of little Baby Boy, that will be making his arrival this winter! I can't wait to get to meet him and capture those moments as well!

I just think J & J are one of the sweetest couples that I know. And I have no doubt their little one is going to be just as wonderful as they are. And Jeremy and I are lucky and blessed enough to consider them very dear friends.

I just love this family! Mom and dad are super sweet, and I have to say simply adorable! And the kids are so cute! I always tell people about them. "My Little Model Family" as I like to call them! They always look sharp and we always have some fun!

One of my favorite parts about a session with them is that the kiddos will do anything I ask, even if it's wearing sweaters on a very, hot 90 degree fall day!

My favorite quote of the day was "Yeah Sweaters". They just crack me up! You could totally hear the sarcastic tone in those "Yeah Sweaters"?! Ha ha

So many more I could/want post.....but we will leave those to the family! :)

I have to admit we got some really great shots. But, I was a little sad and disappointed when our time together was over! I had so many other ideas and they are just too willing to let me do what ever!! But, handsome, little Nick had to get going to a fun-filled church event. A House Divided...

Well I had to post this quick little picture for the Szakal bunch! Dad is a Michigan fan, and mom is an Ohio State fan. Needless to say, they are a house divided.

This cracks me up mostly, because I see my future in them! I am a Michigan fan, while Jeremy is an Ohio State fan. We disagree on who we are going to let our children root for. We have promised we will let our children choose, but in my heart of hearts, I could NEVER let that happen! :)

This family is so cute and we had a great time capturing the spirit of the Michigan vs Ohio State rivalry.

I'm sticking with Dad on this one...Go Blue! :)

It's so hard to be baby Avery is already 9 months! Where has the time gone? It still feels like yesterday when I met Danielle and she was still expecting Avery's arrival! Makes me very sad, but also very excited and happy that I get to watch these two beautiful girls grow and change! Love them!

And Big Sister came with a great and wonderful surprise for me! All dressed up in her cowgirl gear....I could just eat this little girl up! So much personality! Love her boots!!!! And her horses name was....Hay! ha ha

And here is another one from when we got to her house and she did a little fashion show for me....all her pose!!!

Our session was cut short when we were kicked out of a park...little did I know it closed at 5! Next time I will be sure to do my homework. But, LUCKY FOR ME, I get to steal away with these girls again soon and do another session! :) More to come....

The curse of living in Ohio....lots of Buckeye fans....at least I have cute clients that are buckeye fans! :)

Couldn't you just eat that little boy up?! He was such a good boy and those little teeth had me giggling for sure!
